The Government of Gibraltar has signed its first power purchase agreement for the provision of renewable energy. The agreement, which is with Eco Wave Power, is for the provision of an initial 0.5MW energy device on the eastside of the Rock.
Eco Wave Power is in talks with large global utilities and renewables companies to provide $10 million to fund 79 megawatts of plants that use the Israeli developer’s technology for harvesting energy from the oceans.
The development of an innovation to turn wave energy into power has catapulted Inna Braverman’s company Eco Wave Power to the top of its field worldwide.
